Recap our SQL/database course – April 2026

Hope IT finished off this Spring with an Intermediate course on SQL and databases.  This is the second time we offered this. Most of our courses are Beginner courses, just giving students exposure to the topics and hands-on experience. This course is the first to be a bit more advanced, closer to what programmers use right now. This is a very job ready skill.

We had 2 students in this course, both from the Door of Hope.  This was an in-person course, see the picture above.

The students learned how to use SQL, to pull data out of a database.  SQL is such a common language. It has remained basically unchanged for decades, despite all the other changes going on in the tech world over that time.

With our busy schedule, we only had this course for 2 weeks, but the students got a huge boost in skill and confidence, coming to this course.

The Hope IT team gets a little break until our June course. We will begin planning for next school year. Thank you for your encouragement and prayers.

Peace,
–Mike Veerman
